Confidential, what does that do?

Confidential

On the lower right corner of the left operator screen on the RISO Duplicators, there is a button labeled, "confidential". This has several purposes.

  • Selecting this button and then pressing the start key will cause the machine to remove the last item printed and place a new, blank master on the drum.
    • This prevents others from seeing or printing the job that you just completed.
    • This will help prevent the ink from drying out in the drum. It is a good idea to place a confidential on the print drum anytime that the machine is going to set for a period of time with out use. Example summer time or Christmas break.
